Avoid This Real Estate Scam
If you are in the market to buy a home or investment property, you might want to learn from this investor’s mistake.
The investor’s main problem here was he was entirely too trusting. He did not verify that the real estate agent he was working with was actually an agent at all. He was taken to the cleaners because he did not do his due diligence. It appears that he verified very little in the biggest financial mistake of his life.
Any reputable Realtor or loan officer will be more than happy to let you verify their status as agents.
